Riddles and jokes for the first day of spring

 

Today is the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.  We live in difficult times and you probably need a break from all the bad news in the world.  I know I do.  That's why Number 16 is posting riddles and jokes to celebrate the first day of spring.  I hope this lifts your spirits because laughter, as they say, is the best medicine.  I would really like to brighten your day.

Before my surgery, my anesthetist offered to knock me out with gas or a boat paddle . . . It was an ether/oar situation.
